Cooper Suffers a Broken Nose

Share

Laker Michael Cooper suffered a broken nose in Sunday night’s game against Chicago, X-rays showed Monday, and he will have to play for at least the next week wearing a face mask.

Cooper may also need surgery to correct a deviated septum, another result of a collision with the Bulls’ Orlando Woolridge in the fourth quarter.

Cooper is not expected to miss Wednesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz at Salt Lake City. The Lakers said that Cooper will be re-examined Thursday.
