Paradox
There seems to be a real paradox in operation within the acceptance of our state lottery.
We have laws that ban betting and games of betting in our state. Off-track betting is illegal, bookies are illegal. Organized crap games are illegal. Children are raised knowing that gambling or betting is wrong or illegal. Yet here we have a state-sanctioned lottery. Well, what are we to believe gambling is right or wrong? Hey kids, we can’t bet on the Rams game, but come on, get lottery tickets!
And who is to be the beneficiary of 17% of the profits from this legal gambling? The same children that are taught that gambling is wrong and illegal!
Yes, the public school system will be reaping the profits from this legal gambling. What a sham! What a blatant case of “do what I say kids--not what I do”!
