San Diego
An 8-year-old San Diego girl was in critical condition at Children’s Hospital Wednesday night after she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle, San Diego police reported. A 22-year-old woman was booked into the County Jail at Las Colinas on suspicion of felony hit-and-run driving, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Anna Hall reportedly was riding her bicycle west on Myrtle Avenue when she was hit by a car traveling on Central Avenue about 2:50 p.m., Robinson said. The driver of the car left the scene and Gwen Bryant, 22, of San Diego was later arrested at a friend’s house after a caller tipped police, Robinson said. Anna is the daughter of Robert and Carolyn Hall, who live in the 3300 block of 40th Street.
