Beverly Hills : Team Wins Academic Contest

For the fourth straight year, a Beverly Hills High School team has won the Los Angeles County division of the Academic Decathlon.

The seven-member Beverly Hills team defeated 56 other high schools in the county competition last month, earning the right to go to the state finals Jan. 3 at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana.

Beverly Hills has won the state finals the last three years. The team is coached by Jane Wortman and includes Aaron Barth, Lisa Bittman, Eric Greene, Gregory Seton, Keith Van Leeuwen, Joshua Walker and Joseph Waxman.
