Ramona Man Is Struck by Car, Dies
RAMONA —
Harold VanCamp, 68, of Ramona was killed Friday when a car struck him as he was crossing a road, authorities said.
At about 5:30 p.m., VanCamp was crossing California 78 at 8th Street when he was hit by a car driven by another Ramona man, 74-year-old Oliver Kroll, the California Highway Patrol said. VanCamp died about 45 minutes later at Pomerado Hospital.
Officers said Kroll apparently failed to see VanCamp.
