Two fires in separate locations Saturday morning caused moderate damage to two homes.
A floor heater that ignited nearby clothing was the cause of a blaze on the 500 block of Iona Drive in Encanto, a San Diego Fire Department spokesman said.
Firefighters arrived at the single-story home at 6:16 a.m. and extinguished the fire in 25 minutes, the spokesman said.
No one was home at the time of the blaze, which caused about $60,000 in damages.
At 11:05 a.m. firefighters arrived at a home on the 8000 block of Hurlbut Street, located in the Navy housing section in Linda Vista.
The fire, of unknown origin, was confined to the rear bedroom of the two-story home. No one was injured in the blaze, which caused about $40,000 in damage.
