It was a typical day for Brigham Young quarterback Robbie Bosco.

Bosco, who finished third in the balloting for the Heisman Trophy, completed 25 of 37 passes for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns Saturday in BYU’s 26-6 Western Athletic Conference victory over Hawaii. For the season, he passed for 4,273 yards and 30 touchdowns.

The victory gave BYU an 11-2-0 record, 7-1 in the WAC, tying Air Force. The loss dropped the Rainbows to 4-6-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the conference. It was Hawaii’s first losing season in eight years.

It was a typical day for BYU Coach LaVell Edwards, too, as he won or shared his 10th consecutive WAC title. It was his 13th consecutive winning season at BYU, which will face Ohio State in the Florida Citrus Bowl on Dec. 28.

“Winning the WAC is our number one goal every year, and when we accomplish it, I’m pleased,” Edwards said. “This is about as satisfying a WAC championship as we have had.”

Sikahema scored his first touchdown on an 80-yard pass-run play from Bosco that erased a 3-0 Hawaii lead with 4:42 remaining in the first quarter.
