Chapman’s Turnbull Advances to Semifinal
Troy Turnbull of Chapman College, the No. 1 seed in the Rolex National College Tennis Championships in Fort Myers, Fla., won his first-round match Monday to advance to today’s semifinal round.
Turnbull defeated Rob Oertel of Stout State of Wisconsin, 6-3, 6-4, in the first round and will meet Sugun Balogun of Mercyhurst in one semifinal. Turnbull is ranked first in Division 2 tennis by ITCA. Balogun is ranked 11th.
