Henderson and Murphy Share Honor
Kevin Henderson of Cal State Fullerton and Tod Murphy of UC Irvine shared Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. Player of the Week honors for the first week of the basketball season.
Henderson, a 6-foot 4-inch senior, scored 61 points and had 18 assists as the Titans beat United States International and Loyola Marymount. Henderson shot 59% (22 of 37) from the floor and was 17 of 17 from the free-throw line.
Murphy, a 6-9 1/2 senior, scored 57 points on 61% shooting (22 of 36) and had 15 rebounds in the Anteaters’ wins over Montana and Boise State.
