Truth and Consequences?

The truth hurts. That’s the reason the West Covina City Council attacked the Transition/Waste Management Commission last week. The City Council doesn’t like to be reminded that, because of its decisions, the BKK dump is still polluting the environment in the San Gabriel Valley. The commission reported its findings; that the BKK dump was a greater source of pollution than the proposed Irwindale trash-to-energy project, which wasn’t what the City Council wanted to hear. The commission should be commended instead of castigated for being loyal to the truth.
