Girls Hurt in Fall From 2nd Floor of Apartment
A 3-year-old girl suffered a broken leg Thursday and her 2-year-old playmate received cuts and bruises when they fell out of a second-floor window at an apartment in Northridge, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The girls fell about 4:15 p.m. at an apartment complex at 9150 Tampa Ave. They were taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, spokesman John Williamson said.
The 3-year-old fell first and landed in a bush, and the other girl fell on top of her, breaking the older girl’s leg, Williamson said.
It was not known what caused the girls to fall, Williamson said.
