In David T. Friendly’s “review” of the videocassette “British Rock--the First Wave” in Home Tech (Dec. 17) he stated that the Hollies sang “ way- off-key” (italics in original).
In disbelief, I rented said video only to find out that Friendly must be deaf, at least tone deaf. There’s not a bad note to be heard. And this without vocal monitors, which weren’t invented yet!
Erred facts make for erred opinions. Leave the audio to those with ears, seriously.
