Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and French Open champion Mats Wilander advanced to the final of the Junior Masters tennis tournament Saturday and will meet today in a rematch of their recent Davis Cup match.

Becker, of West Germany, beat Emilio Sanchez of Spain, 6-4, 6-4, and Wilander, of Sweden, defeated Jakob Hlasek of Switzerland, 6-3, 7-6.

Becker and Wilander have squared off three times in the past, most recently in the Davis Cup final at Munich last month, when Becker won in four sets.

Last year at Paris, Becker lost in three sets to Wilander, who went on to win the tournament. Later at Cincinnati, Becker beat the Swede in a tournament final.

Sanchez, No. 64 in the international tennis rankings, played a shrewd and subtle game but eventually had nothing to compensate for Becker’s consistently devastating forehand.

Wilander, ranked No. 3 in the world, ran into unexpected trouble with Hlasek in the second set before finally winning on the fifth match point.

The winner of today’s final between Becker and Wilander will receive $30,000, the loser $20,000.
