Fire Damages Apartment: Fire swept through an apartment unit at 10282 Woodbury Road on Saturday, causing an estimated $50,000 in damages, fire officials said. Four units responded to the 5:45 a.m. blaze and remained on the scene for nearly two hours, spokesman Al Edwards said. The fire was confined to the living and dining rooms of an apartment occupied by Keith Duchene and Melaine Moser, Edwards said. There were no reported injuries or fatalities. Fire officials listed “discarded smoking material” as a possible cause.
