Woman Hit in Drive-By Shooting Brain Dead
A woman who was shot in the head while she sat at the kitchen table of her home in Compton was on life-support systems and described as brain dead Sunday by a spokesman at Los Angeles County-Martin Luther King Jr. Drew Medical Center.
Ceola Belle Moore, 45, was sitting with her husband, James, when two shots were fired into their house in the 15500 block of Stanford Avenue Saturday, apparently by someone in a passing car, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sam Jones said.
