Redondo Beach : Condo Policy Retained
The Redondo Beach City Council on Tuesday unanimously agreed to retain its current policy of not allowing condominium conversions in the city unless the rental vacancy rate is greater than 4%.
The council had requested a study of the policy last October to determine whether the cap could be lifted or modified to allow conversion of two-unit buildings.
The planning department cited a number of adverse effects if the current restrictions were eased and recommended that they be retained.
