The license of trainer Alain de Royer...
The license of trainer Alain de Royer Dupre was revoked by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board because an illegal drug was detected in one of his entries in the $2-million Breeders’ Cup Turf race.
The action resulted from the detection of etorphine in Lashkari, a Dupre-trained horse, after the running of the 1 1/2-mile Breeders’ race at Aqueduct Nov. 2.
Lashkari, owned by the Aga Khan, finished fourth but was disqualified by the board Nov. 27 after the drug’s presence had been confirmed.
