Spinks, Holmes to Meet in One of a Series of Bouts

ATLANTA — Michael Spinks will defend his International Boxing Federation heavyweight title in a rematch with Larry Holmes in April as one of a series of bouts leading to an undisputed heavyweight champion.
The Holmes-Spinks rematch and the series of seven title fights was announced Friday by promoters Don King and Butch Lewis, and Seth Abraham, president of sports programming for Home Box Office, which will televise the fights.
