L.A., Valley BIA Chapters Now Merged
The San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles chapters of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California have consolidated to form one chapter serving the greater Los Angeles area.
The new chapter will hold its first meeting Thursday at the Valley Hilton Hotel in Sherman Oaks. The featured speakers will be Kathleen Cooper, chief economist for Security Pacific Bank, and Steven H. Gold, chairman of Center Financial Group Inc.
“The distribution of members (the new chapter has 405 company members) is fairly equal between the Valley, the Westside and the central city,” according to Allan N. Lowy, president of the newly merged chapter.
