A public hearing on the proposed expansion of the Dana Point sewage treatment plant operated by the South East Regional Reclamation Authority will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at the San Juan Capistrano City Council chambers.

Citizens will have an opportunity to discuss the environmental impact report related to the proposed expansion of the plant to handle a maximum of 16 million gallons of waste water per day, plus the equivalent of 18.5 million gallons per day of sludge.

Plans call for plant modifications to be done in two phases over several years, starting in 1987.
