Jim McMahon Deserved Super Bowl’s MVP Award
I’m probably in the minority, but I feel the MVP award in the Super Bowl should have gone to Jim McMahon. He not only had two touchdown passes, but made some beautiful long passes and was really on his game. Most of all, he led his team to a thrashing of the Patriots.
In most of the MVP awards it seems if the winning quarterback has a good day, he is given the award. Could it be that McMahon wasn’t popular with the voting committee and the news media in general? He may have been the bad boy of the Bears, but he’s a damn good quarterback and one well deserving of the award.
