Nevada-Reno Wins USIU Golf Tournament
Nevada-Reno won the United States International University Men’s Invitational by five strokes Tuesday with Reno golfer Robert Icban posting the tourney’s best score at 215. San Diego State was the only local entry in contention, finishing 13 strokes back in third place. Aztec Mike Foley was second in the individual competition, four strokes off the lead. Host USIU placed seventh, 44 strokes behind the leader. University of San Diego and UC San Diego came in 12th and 13th, respectively, in the 14-school tournament.
