Either USC or Washington Will End Its Slide

USC and Washington shared the Pacific 10 championship last season, but the teams are now going in different directions.
The Trojans are 3-6 in conference and in ninth place, while the Huskies are 7-3, a half-game out of first.
USC will try to reverse its slide when it meets Washington today (Channel 4, KNX radio) in a 3 p.m. game at the Sports Arena.
The Trojans lost to Washington State, 77-75, on Thursday whereas the Huskies were beaten by UCLA, 94-89, at Pauley Pavilion.
According to USC Coach Stan Morrison, forward Derrick Dowell had the flu. He scored only seven points to go with seven rebounds.
Washington beat USC, 91-75, this season at Seattle. The Trojans committed 33 turnovers in that game.
