Driver Suffers Heart Attack: The driver of a bread truck suffered a heart attack Tuesday night, sending the truck careening across all five lanes of the San Diego Freeway twice before it plunged about 40 feet down a plant-covered embankment. Charles L. Crowder, 54, of Buena Park, died of the heart attack, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman. He was driving the Oroweat Baking Co. truck north on the freeway just south of Harbor Boulevard when he suffered the heart attack about 9 p.m. The truck swerved from the slow lane across to the center divider and back again before going over the embankment. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
