A young woman who had remained in critical condition from a stab wound suffered three days after Christmas has died, sheriff’s deputies said. Patricia Smith, 19, of Willowbrook, was stabbed once in the chest during an argument with a 16-year-old girl in Willowbrook on Dec. 28, Deputy Rick Adams said. After the stabbing, in the 13300 block of South Oleander Avenue, Smith was taken to Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center in Los Angeles where she died Friday. The girl suspect, arrested immediately after the attack, had been released to her parents and is now facing legal action on possible murder charges, Adams added. Her name was not released because of her age.
