Local News in Brief : Van Nuys Woman Dies in Apparent Burglary
A Van Nuys woman who stayed home from work because she was ill was killed Monday during what appeared to be a burglary of her condominium, Los Angeles police said.
The woman’s husband found her body when he returned from work about 6 p.m., Lt. L.A. Durrer said.
The condominium, in the 7100 block of Balboa Boulevard, was ransacked. The woman, who was not identified, appeared to have been beaten, Durrer said.
A glass window leading to the balcony had been shattered, he said.
