The University of San Diego basketball team, still in line for a 20-win season, will try to extend its four-game winning streak when it plays at Gonzaga in a West Coast Athletic Conference game at 7:30 tonight.

The Toreros (8-4 in conference, 18-8 overall), 61-40 winners over Portland Thursday night, can achieve a 20-win season with victories tonight and Wednesday night at St. Mary’s.

In the win over Portland, USD was led by 7-foot center Scott Thompson’s 20 points. The 18th victory equaled the school’s record at the NCAA Division I level. USD also won 18 games when it won the WCAC championship in 1983-84
