Prep Wrestlers Grapple for Berths in State Meet
High school wrestlers from all four Southern Section divisions will compete today at Westminster High in the Masters’ meet to determine which will advance to the State tournament.
Preliminaries will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by the consolation finals at about 2:30 p.m. and the finals at about 4.
Wrestlers were chosen on the basis of their performances in last week’s divisional team meets. Of the 208 competing in the Masters Meet, 65 will qualify for the State meet March 7-8 at San Jose.
