Three more sheriff’s deputies have resigned during an investigation of alleged sexual misconduct that began with a young volunteer’s report that she had been raped by a deputy, San Bernardino County Sheriff Floyd Tidwell said. A total of eight sheriff’s employees have been suspended and three of them, one a woman dispatcher, quit earlier, Tidwell said. The investigation began when the 18-year-old volunteer reported that she had been raped by a deputy in Victorville on Feb. 14, the sheriff said. She also described sexual relations with four other deputies before she turned 18, he said.
