Master of the Mat--Lyndon Campbell of Santa Fe High School defeated defending state champion Robert Tabarez of Calexico in the 123-pound class at the Southern Section Masters wrestling meet Saturday at Westminster High School. Campbell, who led Santa Fe to the Whitmont League title, will compete in the state tournament Friday and Saturday at San Jose.

National Appointment--Arnold White of the Long Beach Lawn Bowling Club is one of 10 men chosen to the U.S. National Lawn Bowling Team. White, a three-time U.S. doubles champion, is one of two Southern Californians selected to the team. A list of the team members is on the Sports Roundup page.
