Domestic Violence Legal Aid Office in New Quarters
A 6-year-old project of the Los Angeles County Bar Assn. that provides free legal information to victims of domestic violence has relocated to the Los Angeles Superior Court in downtown Los Angeles, officials said.
From two to four volunteer attorneys for the Barristers’ Domestic Violence Project are at the 111 N. Hill St. court between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays to assist victims, such as battered wives, in preparing legal actions.
The project, which previously was based at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, 8405 Beverly Blvd., moved to the courthouse, a Bar Assn. spokesman said, “to be where these victims come, so that we could help more people.”
