GRAMMY GRUB

The intentions and results of “We Are the World” made it deserving of special attention and recognition at the Grammys, but including it in the field of competition contradicted everything the song is about.
It was also unfair to the other nominees because there was no conscionable way for the song to lose. The predictability of the outcome of the key categories (among other things) made the entire show one big bore.
I hope the National Assn. of Recording Arts and Sciences gets its act together for next year when it remembers to honor “Sun City.”
