Utah Beats Fullerton Women in Gymnastics

Lisa Mitzel scored the season’s highest all-around total in the nation Monday to lead No. 1-ranked Utah past Cal State Fullerton in a nonconference women’s gymnastics meet at Salt Lake City.
Utah scored 188.4 points to Fullerton’s 186.35, as Mitzel totaled 38.6 in the all-around competition. Utah is 10-1, Fullerton is 11-8.
Three Titans--Christi Robell, Celie Glanton and Tania Rogers--tied for third in the all-around with scores of 37.45. Fullerton’s Roni Barrios won the vault with a 9.65 and Rogers tied for second with a 9.6.
