Girl, 14, Hit by Car: A 14-year-old girl was listed in fair condition Friday at Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo from injuries sustained when she was struck by a car as she walked across a street in Dana Point, authorities said. Michelle Feltz of Dana Point was struck about 2:45 p.m. Thursday by a Porsche driven by a 17-year-old Laguna Niguel boy on Street of the Golden Lantern, south of Dana Woods, said California Highway Patrol Officer Lupe Lopez. The driver’s name was not released because of his age. The girl sustained head injuries, internal injuries, facial cuts and a broken leg, authorities said. The accident occurred on a section of the street that is technically private property and has not yet been dedicated to the county, Lopez said. The driver was not cited because the vehicle code restricts officers’ authority to issue citations for incidents on private property, Lopez said.
