The No-Growth Issue in Costa Mesa
Sharon Ayres “tells it like it is” in her letter (March 23) about the new anti-business attitudes among some people in Costa Mesa. I applaud The Times for printing it.
Too often it’s only the noisy no-growthers and those who urge them on who get any attention.
Oh, I know that many of those who opposed the Segerstrom project convinced themselves of their “high-minded” motives. No one believes himself to be selfish--even when he is!
The Mesa Action crowd sure is being guided by people who believe in property rights--that is, their right to control your property, and mine.
