Tennis star Ivan Lendl could be sidelined for the next three weeks because of a bone chip on his right kneecap.
Lendl, whose 29-match winning streak was ended Sunday by West Germany’s Boris Becker in the final of the Volvo tournament in Chicago, will see a doctor in Greenwich, Conn., Tuesday. Lendl said he aggravated the injury midway through the first set against Becker.
The only tournament Lendl is scheduled to play in in the next three weeks is the WCT Finals at Dallas, beginning next Tuesday.
