Fire Destroys Palm Forest

TAPACHULA, Mexico —
Fire tore through a palm tree plantation near the Guatemalan border, destroying 120,000 trees, which produce nuts used to make palm oil, and causing $3 million in damage before it was controlled Wednesday, officials said Thursday.
