Rapp Leads CSUN Past Westmont, 12-3
Cal State Northridge batters pounded out 13 hits in an easy 12-3 nonconference victory over Westmont on Wednesday.
Northridge was led by Tim Rapp, who went 3 for 4 with two triples and four runs batted in, while teammate Craig Burns was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. Todd Mustin was 2 for 5, Mark Anderson was 2 for 4 and Dan Fernandez was 2 for 3 for Northridge.
Fili Martinez and Gary Robb shared the pitching chores for Northridge with Martinez (1-0) picking up the victory.
