Bill Foster, former Duke and South Carolina basketball coach, was named to replace Rich Falk at Northwestern University.
Foster, 55, has managed 20-victory seasons in four Division I basketball programs. He has a record of 413-268 in 26 seasons, making him the Big Ten’s third-winningest coach behind Indiana’s Bob Knight and Illinois’ Lou Henson.
Foster left South Carolina after posting a 12-16 mark in the Metro Conference last season.
