Roommate of Victim Arrested in Slaying
An argument over a woman led to the bludgeoning death of a Granada Hills man and the arrest Sunday of his roommate, Los Angeles police said.
Anthony Pelosi, 31, was arrested on suspicion of murdering his roommate, Patrick George Rankin, 32, whom paramedics found beaten to death about 3 a.m. Sunday in the home they shared in the 17000 block of Tulsa Street, said Detective Jack Dillard.
Dillard said the two men got into an argument and “engaged in mutual combat” before Pelosi called paramedics.
Rankin appeared to have been struck several times on the head with a blunt instrument, Dillard said.
Pelosi was being held at the Devonshire Division Jail pending arraignment later this week.
