W. Hollywood Conflict-of-Interest Code OKd
The West Hollywood City Council has approved a new conflict of interest code governing the actions of city employees, requiring financial disclosure and, in some instances, mandating that officials excuse themselves from policy-making decisions.
Some top city officials, such as City Manager Paul Brotzman and City Atty. Michael Jenkins, have already filed financial disclosure statements. The new code requires department heads and other staff members to file them.
The reports will be submitted annually and when officials are hired or leave their city posts.
