Prominent Doctor Dies
PALOS VERDES ESTATES —
Dr. Arnold Niemeyer, a longtime resident who was the first chief of staff at South Bay Hospital in Redondo Beach, died of leukemia April 9 at the hospital he once headed. He was 73. He was staff chief in 1960-61 and lived in Palos Verdes Estates for 38 years. Funeral services were held at the Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes Estates.
