Sharing Road With Truckers
I feel I must write after reading the letters knocking truckers. Sure, there are a few who take risks and drive over the speed limit, but most of the time, the drivers of big rigs are courteous and professional.
Those who tailgate are usually the ones who have just had to downshift because of some fool in a compact cutting them off and causing the trucker to lose all of the momentum necessary to climb a steep grade.
I’ve only respect and admiration for the men and women who haul the lifeblood of our city, day and night.
If anything needs to be changed, it’s the way that drivers’ licenses are just given away to some of our more recent citizens to our state. How about making the driving test more difficult?
