The Los Angeles Conservancy will hold a general membership meeting and public issues forum on Wednesday on a proposed ordinance to limit building density in commercial and industrial areas of the city.

The measure, proposed by Councilmen Marvin Braude Zev Yaroslavsky, would cut in half commercial building density in most parts of Los Angeles.

Speakers in addition to Braude and Yaroslavsky will be Dan Garcia, president of the city Planning Commission; Mark Hall, past president of the Los Angeles chapter, American Institute of Architects, and Tom Safran of Tom Safran & Associates.
