Local News in Brief : 2 Injured as Truck Flips Near Castaic
An unidentified woman was in serious condition and a young girl was in fair condition at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills Sunday evening after their truck overturned on the northbound Golden State Freeway a half-mile south of Templin Highway near Castaic, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The accident occurred around 6:40 p.m. and forced CHP officials to close down the freeway so that a helicopter could land and transport the victims to the hospital, Officer Robert Stegemann said.
