The body of a child, apparently the victim of a homicide, was found in an makeshift dump in the Mead Valley near Riverside, authorities said. Two men searching for auto parts in the area littered with abandoned cars and furniture south of March Air Force Base came across the body and called authorities. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies declined to comment on whether the body was that of a boy or a girl, the age of the victim, or other details.
