Four smash-and-grab bandits invaded a Westside jewelry store and fled with an undisclosed amount of jewelry after an exchange of shots with a security guard, Los Angeles police said. The bandits used small sledge hammers to shatter display cases at the Feldmar Watch & Clock store, 9000 W. Pico Blvd., where they scooped up jewelry.
