278 on Plane Evacuated After Engine Backfires

GRAPEVINE, Tex. —
An engine on an American Airlines DC-10 backfired shortly after the craft pulled away from its gate at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Wednesday, and the 278 passengers and crew members were evacuated down an emergency chute, officials said. One woman was slightly injured.
