Loman Paces 18-Hit Attack by Yokohama
The Yokohama Taiyo Whales got 18 hits including a three-run home run by American Doug Loman in a 14-4 rout of the Chunichi Dragons Sunday in a Japanese League baseball game.
Gary Rajisch of the Dragons, who once played for the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals, hit his 13th homer of the season.
In another game, the Kintetsu Buffaloes beat the Nippon Ham Fighters 10-0 as Dick Davis, for merly of the Toronto Blue Jays, hit two home runs, his 10th and 11th of the season.
The Hankyu Braves beat the Nankai Hawks 10-2 as Greg (Boomer) Wells, formerly of the Minnesota Twins, drove in two runs with his sixth home run of the season.
