Vista
A 17-year-old Vista High School student was killed early Sunday when the car in which she was riding veered off Shadow Ridge Drive and hit trees and a boulder, authorities said.
Lucretia Daun Goad was dead at the scene of the accident about 12:35 a.m., coroner’s deputies said. The driver, Daniel Plott of Vista, was taken by Life Flight to Palomar Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.
Two other passengers, whose identities were not available, were taken to Tri-City Hospital, deputies said.
Coroner’s deputies said Plott was driving east on Shadow Ridge Drive near Watson Way when the car left the road. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
